Stefan Simmonds: A new outlook on grain

Bringing insights from one of the most recognisable brands in the world, Stefan Simmonds offers a new perspective as site manager at Wumbulgal.

After 15 years at Coca-Cola Amatil in Sydney the opportunity for a tree-change led him to AgConnex.

His career experience is broad, including warehouse optimisation, greenfield site commissioning, finding production efficiencies in the canning line, national site manager for ingredients storage, and building high-performing teams at the beverage giant.

It’s all useful background for his role helping grain growers of the Riverina. Today, his day-to-day job includes matching volumes with fortnightly and monthly forecasts, the constant juggle of storage optimisation, and gearing up for the harvest influx.

While the grain world is new to him Stefan is thriving on the challenge of applying his knowledge in a different environment, and says the excellent team at AgConnex remains key to the company’s – and customers’ – success.
